About
I began my journey with wood carving by making west African style drums and have gradually honed my skills through throwing myself headlong into the practical and creative cauldron, with the hope that the results speak for themselves.
Sculpting in wood is an enjoyable organic process, where the grain, shape and qualities of the timber deeply influence the working dynamic making every sculpture unique. I am mindful as to where I source the wood for my sculptures, using windblown, dead and managed timber.
My work ranges from relatively small bespoke sculptures for the home and garden to large scale commissions. Among the larger commissioned sculptures, I have had the pleasure to work for private businesses, individuals, councils, schools and the Forestry Commission.
I have been lucky enough in the past to take part in events at both Westonbirt (Sculptree) and Batsford Arboretums as well as Woodfest Wales and have demonstrated at many smaller shows.
Thank you for your visit hope you have enjoyed having a good look around. Please don't hesitate to contact me by phone or email for any further information.
